How To Make Friends At A Social Activity: With Magic!

I have more than 20 years’ experience doing magic. I use magic tricks at parties to instantly gain a positive response from people. There’s no better trick than this one to do it with–the “Disappearing Cigarette Trick.” It’s so simple and so effective.

This is one trick that can be done anywhere and certainly without much of the preparation. Most of the time, this trick is given as a form of icebreaker or tension reliever in some activities. It will make your audience dumbfounded too. It requires one cigarette, or a plain and simple straw that is just basically as long as your thumb only.

Here is how it should go. The cigar, or the straw mentioned, should show to the audience that it is positioned in your hand, up and closely presented to them. Suddenly, with a magic-like wave of your magician’s hand, the cigarette will vanish in the air, just in to the face of your astounded audience. Additionally, and amaze them even more, with another magic wave of your hand, you suddenly make it show again! If this doesn’t wow your friends, family, and any audience, I don’t know what will. For me, it’s always been a sure thing.

Consequently, a word of precaution to would-be magicians there, remember that whatever your trick may be, the best defense will always be constant practice. Continuous practice until such time that you can do just about any trick without second thoughts anymore. This fact, plus your confidence, will eventually assure you success from any crowd or audience and will prove them that you are one true magician!
