I did not look past the Windoze(tm) only tab.

Too bad, it looked good up to that point!

I can’t really rate this product a this time because it is a present for a December birthday. I like to get my shopping in early. I would be glad to review it after the first of the year. The delivery was excellent, howeve.

I bought and tested this pedometer with high hopes after reading several of the reviews in Amazon but the Omron HJ-720ITC has 3 major flaws that MUST be pointed out to warn other buyers:

a)Metric units are ignored completely -> this is simply ridiculous since it means you need to convert your weight and distance to imperial units if you live outside the USA. It might not seem like a problem to USA buyers but people from everywhere else in the world should beware of this burden

b)There is no on/off switch -> it might not seem like a problem but in my case I sometimes walk to the gym and then run on a treadmill. There is simply no way to turn the pedometer on when I get there and it automatically starts tracking my steps from the moment I walk from my living room to the car and then from the car to the gym, etc. I dont understand why it is so precise to measure steps but so generic as not to allow users to control the time window in which it should be recorded

c)No reset button for daily step count -> Similar as above, lets say you want to measure your steps in different track laps well you cant unless you memorize your first result and then substract it from your second result. Would it be so hard to add a simple “reset counter” button?

Honestly this is a great pedometer but this simple yet major flaws turn it quite useless to runners outside the USA or who want very precise track steps measurement

You know, you need to stop this ‘review my work’ stuff. If I hadn’t liked your product, I would have sent it back. There is no good reason you should be shilling me for commentary. It takes up my time and puts more junk mail into my mail box. So, print this out and take it to your boss and tell him to take it to his boss. Tell him this is stupid, self-agrandizing crapola and it needs to stop. If you want us to keep buying from you, your company needs to make things easier, not more complicated. We don’t owe you any answers that buying your product and keeping it do not provide.
